About Us
| K.R. Mangalam University is a pioneering institution of higher education in Haryana, established in 2013 under the Haryana Private Universities Act and is empowered to award degrees as specified by UGC under section 2f of the UGC Act, 1956. KRMU is driven by shared purpose to make the world better through education, research and innovation. It is spread over 26 acres nestled in the Aravalli hills, the fully residential green campus offers an idyllic and intellectually vibrant environment. About 120 faculty members and more than 1800 students are indulged in making the world a better place along with KRMU The Ph.D. programme is framed according to standards set by UGC (UGC Minimum standards and procedure for award of M.Phil/ PhD Degree} Regulations, 2016 under the guidance of highly qualified and widely recognized faculty in their respective fields. This Ph.D. programme is for exceptionally gifted individuals who want to pursue an academic career and contribute to the society. |

Eligibility Criteria
|
A postgraduate degree or equivalent in the concerned subject from a recognized Indian University, or a postgraduate degree approved by the Association of Indian Universities/UGC/AICTE with not less than 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale. PhD admission is open only for those students who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programme. PhD admission is open for regular University faculty. |
Selection Process

Admission Process Shortlisted candidates will be called for written examination and interview. They will be required to pay a Registration-cum-Processing fee of Rs. 5000/- (Non-Refundable). Admission to Ph.D. Programme will be based on the overall performance in Post Graduate Degree, Entrance Examination and Personal Interview. Preference will be given to CSIR/UGC NET qualified candidates and those having sponsored projects. Written Entrance Examination It will broadly test the research aptitude and ability to comprehend. Candidates with NET, SLET, GATE, MPAT, M.Phil. or equivalent qualification may be exempted from Entrance Examination. Admission to Ph.D. Programme will be based on the overall performance in Post Graduate degree, Entrance Examination, Personal Interview, and facilities available. Preference will be given to CSIR/UGC NET qualified candidates and those having sponsored projects. Personal Interview Candidates who clear the written entrance examination will be selected for Personal Interview. The interview will be conducted by the Interview Board of the University to comprehensively judge in depth of knowledge in the concerned subject/area and ability to do research. Admitted candidates will be required to pay the first instalment of the Ph.D. programme fee and security deposit within the specified time to confirm the admission. |
