IMl Kolkata has been developed under the patronage of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, a well-known industrial conglomerate of lndia. The group has diverse business interests with very well-known organizations like CESC, Spencer’s Retail Limited, Saregama, Philips Carbon Black Limited, to name a few. The group’s approximate annual turnover is Rs.14, 000 crore with an employee strength of about 48,000 all across lndia. In 2010 IMI Kolkata came up in Eastern India to enable bright young minds gain access to the world-class IMI management pedagogy. The Two-Year full-time AICTE Approved PGDM Programme was started in 2011. Eligibility Criteria

A three-year bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University with at-least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

Qualifying exams are only through CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT

Selection Process 

IMI Kolkata will conduct the WAT-PI process for shortlisted candidates for its final selection process.

Written Ability Test (WAT):

IMI Kolkata conducts WAT to evaluate written capabilities of prospective students. WAT aims to evaluate Articulation and Technical (Grammar and Spellings) of the applicant.

Personal Interview:

During the Personal Interview process he/she will be evaluated on the following parameters:

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Cognitive and Problem Solving Skills
• General Awareness
• Domain Knowledge
• Future potential for employability

The Final selection of the candidate is based on Entrance Exam Score + academic profile + WAT Score + PI Score

 Admission Offer:

• Admission Offer will be based on a composite score arrived after the assessment has been made during the various stages of the selection process, defined above.
• The result will be emailed to the shortlisted candidates. Offer letter will thereafter be dispatched, to the mailing address provided in the application form and also via email.
• Applicants are advised to provide their complete postal address and active email ID which should be valid up to 30th June 2024 for receiving important communications.
• Successful candidates, who have been offered admission, will be required to pay the 1st installment of fee within two weeks of the date of offer, failing which the offer shall stand lapsed and admission will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list, without any further intimation.
