IBSAT Eligibility Criteria​

Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.

All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2026 .

Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2025. The admission will remain provisional until they produce marks sheets and degree certificates establishing their eligibility. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2026.

Eligibility criteria will be checked from August, 2026 ,onwards. Hence, the onus of ensuring that they satisfy the eligibility criteria rests solely with the candidates.

  • Go to Registration, keep the cursor at registration but do not click
  • Below registration there is icon of Admit card

  • You will be directed to the IBSAT admit card download from where you will be able to download your IBSAT Hall Ticket 2025 

IBSAT exam admit card 2025 is the mandatory document which you will have to carry with you to the IBSAT exam centre with your photograph and ID proof. In case of any difference in your personal details or mismatch in the entry details in IBSAT admit card 2025 and in your other documents, your MBA admission may be cancelled. You therefore need to verify your details minutely in the IBSAT admit card 2025.

IBSAT Admission Process

IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (a deemed to be a University under Section 3 of UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA / PhD programs of IBS Bengaluru and IBS Hyderabad.

IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

GMAT ®/ NMAT by GMAC TM /CAT/XAT scores (from 2021 onwards) are also accepted in place of IBSAT 2025. Candidates with GMAT®, NMAT by GMAC TM CAT and XAT scores are exempted from IBSAT 2025.

The ICFAI University, Dehradun, The ICFAI University, Jaipur and The Icfaian Foundation accept IBSAT 2025 / GMAT ®/ NMAT by GMAC TM /CAT/XAT scores (from 2021 onwards) for admission to the following

MBA program offered by IBS Dehradun and IBS Jaipur.

PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) program offered by IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai and IBS Pune.

IBSAT Selection Process

Candidates who have qualified based on IBSAT 2025/ GMAT® /NMAT by GMAC TM /CAT/XAT score are called for the selection process during February/March 2026. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

IBSAT Admission Decision

The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

What are the programs offered by IBS?

IBS offers the following Programs:

2-year full time MBA program at IBS Hyderabad, IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur and IBS Bangalore (off campus of IFHE Hyderabad).
2-year full time PGPM (Postgraduate Program in Management) at 5 IBS campuses – Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune
4-year Ph. D program (Full Time/ For working executives) at IBS Hyderabad, IBS Bangalore.

What is the eligibility for MBA & PGPM Program?

Is IBSAT 2025 Test a common entrance for all the programs of IBS?

Yes. IBSAT is conducted every year for admission to all programs of IBS. It is a 2hr Computer Based Test. IBSAT 2025 test is scheduled in the 4 th week of December 2025.

Is there any Exemption from IBSAT-2025 test for applicants of MBA/PGPM Program?

The candidates who wish to pursue MBA/PGPM program can apply with scores from 2021 onwards of GMAT™/CAT/ NMAT by GMAC™/XAT.

Following candidates are exempted from writing IBSAT-2025 test

GMAT™with score of 500 and above
CAT with score of 60 percentile and above
NMAT by GMAC™ with 150 score and above
XAT with 60 percentile and above
IBS Offers IBSAT-2025 Test scholarships for top performers. Hence candidates applying with scores of GMAT, CAT, NMAT and XAT are advised to appear for IBSAT 2025 test to be considered for Scholarships.

However they have to attend the selection process scheduled in the month of February/March, 2026.

What is the pattern of IBSAT test or is it similar to the CAT or the GMAT?

IBSAT is an aptitude test. The duration of the exam is two hours. The paper is divided into four sections Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation.

IBSAT paper has 140 questions in total which are multiple choice questions with no negative marking.

Will you provide any Mock tests?

Yes. Mock Tests will be provided for the candidates to familiarize with IBSAT 2025 test. These mock tests will be available on www.ibsindia.org from August 2025 onwards.

What is the last date for applying for IBSAT 2025?

The last date for applying for IBSAT 2025 is 3 rd week of December 2025.

Is there any scholarships at IBS?

IBS offers IBSAT-2025 scholarships to the top performers in the IBSAT test to be held in the 3 rd week of December, 2025. Candidates applying for admission to MBA/PGPM program and appearing for IBSAT test in December 2025 are only eligible to be considered for scholarship.

Does AICTE/UGC recognize IBS programs?

IBS Hyderabad is a constituent of IFHE (ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education), a Deemed–to-be- University under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956 and IBS Bangalore (off campus of IFHE Hyderabad).
IBS Dehradun & IBS Jaipur campuses are recognized by UGC & their respective State Legislatures.
IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai, IBS Pune are independent professional institutes offering PGPM. They are neither affiliated to nor are off-campus centers of any university.

When is the selection process conducted?

Is hostel accomaodation available for the students?

Hostel facility is available at IBS Hyderabad and IBS Jaipur only.

The MBA program at IBS Hyderabad is a fully residential program. The students will be allotted non-A/c Single rooms with a common washroom facility. The accommodation and mess expenses have to be borne by the student.

At IBS Jaipur

Hostel facility is available at IBS Jaipur campus. The accommodation & mess charges have to be borne by the student.

Hostel facility is not available at other IBS campuses. However the campus administration will assist the students in getting a suitable off campus accommodation nearby the respective campus. The living expenses in these cities vary from Rs 10,000 – Rs 15,000 per month.

Is there any financial assistance for IBS programs?

The candidates selected for IBS Programs avail educational loans from Public / Private Sector Banks.

IBS has entered into an MOU with HDFC Credila Financial Services Ltd.

Are placements guaranteed to IBS students?

IBS believes that the entire placement exercise is a collaborative effort between IBS and the students. While it provides guidance and support through an extensive network with potential employers, the students have the responsibility of putting in the maximum possible efforts to obtain suitable placements.
