CMAT Eligibility Criteria
candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be allowed to sit for the exam
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Final-year students whose results will be declared before the start of the academic year can also apply
- The candidate must be a citizen of India
- There is no age restriction
CMAT Admit Card
All the registered candidates can download their CMAT Admit Card 2024 cum hall ticket PDF online using their login details. It contains details related to the exam centres, exam time and reporting time.
In addition, CMAT Admit Card 2024 contains all the details of the candidates such as application number, name, photo, signature, address, and other key information related to their candidature. It also has the details related to the Covid-19 form, which you must complete and do self-attestation before appearing for the exam.

For seeking the benefits of CMAT Reservation under Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Physically Handicapped (PH), Kashmiri Migrant (KM), the girl child category, and defence person category, the candidate must submit the required certificates and documents:

What is CMAT?
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management programmes in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE Affiliated/ Participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in their Institutions. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE – Affiliated Institutions / University Departments / Constituent Colleges / Affiliated Colleges.
What is the responsibility of NTA for CMAT?
The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online application, conduct of entrance test, declaration of results and providing Scores to AICTE.
Will the test centres be as mentioned in the Information Bulletin?
No. Only the Test Cities are mentioned in the Information bulletin.
Will the test centre choosen during the application will be allotted?
As far as possible the candidate will be given the chosen city for test, However, a different city may be allotted due to administrative reasons
Can a centre be allotted by the NTA manually?
No
Is there any Negative Marking in the CMAT?
Yes there is Negative Marking in CMAT.
Is there any helpline for CMAT Examination for the aspirants?

How will a candidate select a city of their choice for examination?
The candidate should select 4 cities of their choice in order of preference for examination of CMAT 2024 from the drop-down box where all cities where exam is going to be conducted would be reflected.
What would be the validity of CMAT 2024 result?
The validity of the result of CMAT 2024 shall be only for the current academic session i.e. 2024-25 for admission into management programmes in institutes which are affiliated to AICTE.
What is the syllabus for CMAT?

What should I do, if ‘continuous timeout’ or ‘file not found’ error occurs while filling online application form of CMAT?
Use updated version of browser with good internet connection while filling application form. In case of continuous time out one can clear cookies and history of the browser and fill in the application in off-peak hours.
What are the enclosures that should be attached with the confirmation page to be sent to NTA?
Candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ By Hand.
Does NTA verify the documents and what is the role of NTA in counselling?
NTA does not verify the information provided by the candidates during online registration and hence candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as per AICTE. NTA has no role in counseling and admissions.
I have no access to a computer and no experience with Computer Based Examination. How can I prepare for the exam?
NTA has identified schools and colleges with internet and computer facilities. The same are designated as Test Practice Centers (TPCs) for facilitating free practice sessions for CMAT aspirants.
What do the candidates need to bring to the exam center?
Candidates are advised to carry only the following with them into the Examination venue:
a) Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
b) A simple transparent Ball Point Pen.
c) Additional photograph, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
d) Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml).
e) Personal transparent water bottle.
f) ID Proof
g) Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
Requirement for photograph?
- Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Photograph should cover 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
- Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.
- Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
- Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.
- Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph uploaded is fabricated i.e. deshaped or seems to be hand-made or computer made, the form of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means and the candidate would be dealt with accordingly.
- Application without photograph shall be rejected. Thephotograph need not be attested. Candidates areadvised to take 6 to 8 passport size coloured photographs with white background.
Will any candidate be able to leave early if he finishes the test before the allocated test time?
No, candidate will not be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the test concludes.

When Candidates can download Admit Cards for CMAT-2024?
To be announced later through website. Candidates have to download the Admit Card from the website cmat.nta.nic.in only. Admit cards will not be sent to candidates.
If a candidate is unable to download the Admit Card, whom should he/she contact?

Can a candidate change the examination centre after allotment of Admit Card?
Examination Centre cannot be changed.
If mistakenly during filling up of the form, wrong particulars are filled in the online form, how will it be corrected?
When the correction window is opened by NTA the correction in particulars of Application Form can be made online and submitted. Once submission is done after correction no further correction will be allowed.
Can anyone cancel the application submitted for CMAT?
Online Application form submitted successfully cannot be cancelled/withdrawn.
What is the minimum eligibility criteria/qualification for appearing in CMAT 2024?
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree, whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2024-25, can also apply for CMAT-2024.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
What is the age limit/relaxation criteria for the candidates appearing in CMAT?
There is age limit for CMAT-2024.
What is the reservation criteria for seats falling under the jurisdiction of States?
- In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below: (i) 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates (ii) 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates (iii) 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) NonCreamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List* (iv) 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General – EWS) candidates (v) Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability
- Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
- In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.
Whether the application fee excludes the Common Service charge?
Yes
How can one remit fee for CMAT 2024?
Pay fee using SBI/ HDFC Credit Card/ Debit Card Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI and keep proof of fee paid. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled, and amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.
If any candidate faces any problem in remittance of fee due to failed transaction, what can he/she do?
If the payment status of online transaction (by credit/debit card) is not communicated by payment gateway in real time then fee payment is not completed and the candidate will not be able to download the Confirmation page. In this case, the candidate is required to pay fee again through online mode and download the Confirmation page. The amount due to failed transaction of credit/debit card will be refunded back after reconciliation with the bank.
If a candidate for any reason has not appeared in the examination, is there any provision for fee refund?
No. Once the online application form is submitted successfully by the candidate, it cannot be withdrawn and no refund will be made.
Is Aadhaar mandatory for CMAT?
The Aadhaar number is only one of the types of identification and is not mandatory. Candidates may also enter Passport number, Ration Card number, Bank Account number or any other valid Government identity number.
What is TPC and how can a candidate can register for mock test?
